Cinnamon - Cinnamomum zeylanicum

Cinnamon is known for settling the digestive system, and for relieving flatulence. It also relieves nausea and vomiting. Cinnamom prevents nervous tension, improves complexion and memory.

TYPICAL PREPARATIONS AND DOSAGE
Cinnamon bark can be broken up in a pestle and mortar, and can be freely used in cooking or in beverages. Add ½ to 2 teaspoons of powdered cinnamon to your daily foods.
" Add to your favorite herbal tea a cinnamon stick.
Make an Indian Tea with black tea, cinnamom, cardamom, ginger, fennel seeds, vanilla and milk.
Add one-half teaspoon of cinnamon to cooked fruit to sweeten.
Add cinnamon to your breakfast cereal or oatmeal
Sprinkle on toast
Adding cinnamon to butter or cream cheese
Sprinkle cinnamon on your morning cup of coffee, cocoa or cappuccino
Be creative.


PRECAUTIONS
Do not use cinnamon when breast feeding.


SUGGESTED DOSAGE
Herbal Powder
1/2 to 1 gram three times a day
or as directed by a Herbal practitioner
